Tip #33 on being a youth pastors wife...

The biggest lie..

In my devotion time today, I was watching a video and the speaker had mentioned a verse from the Bible that really hit home for me..

I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead.
Revelation 3:1b

He asked the question in his message..

What are you in love with right now..

in a different way..

What is the biggest lie in your life right now..

We see the word LOVE sometimes and think how can being in LOVE with something be so wrong because LOVE is so good but when you really think about it when you are in LOVE with something that is not of Christ it is not good..

When he asked what is the biggest lie in your life right now..many things came to my mind.

One thing that really stood out to me was the idea of the biggest lie. He said it in a way that meant what were you hiding in your life that you want no one to know about or that you want revealed even to yourself. That's not a bad question but the way that I answered it in my head was what in my life was not truth. We know God and Jesus and His word as truth and what is true so what in our life was a lie.

This really stuck with me and made me wonder if someone went around and surveyed people on who I was what would they say about me. Would it be good, bad, flattering.. I would hope that it would be good and that what they said were true.. Then I thought what if those people went into the throne room of God and asked the same questions about me..what would be said..

With God he doesn't hold anything back. In this verse in Revelation he is talking to fellow believers and he is calling them out on their acts to be alive but the fact that they are dead. Would what God says about me match what people on this earth are saying because what God says is gonna be the truth.

So my question to you today is if I went around and asked people about who you were what would they say but better yet if I went into the throne room and asked God what would he say about you.

Would he say you were dead or ALIVE!

Lets become ALIVE in Him and live our lives so that others see us as ALIVE!

Tip #9 for being a youth pastor wife!

" In His great mercy he has given us new birth into living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil, or fade..." - 1 Peter 1:3 So many times in my life and even right now in my life I can feel at my lowest and feel like I am fading with life and it's brought on difficulties. In life we always have days, weeks and sometimes even months when we feel at our lowest and feel like it will never get better. My day is like that today when everything gets under your skin and you get so irritable. Being at work is something I love but days like today when the classroom is crazy, students are upset and crying, matientence people are fixing things, people over the loud speaker and everyone around you talking louder then the person next to you so you can be heard and you feel like your body is going to explode! As I sit there at my desk I couldn't do anything but pull my Bible out and just get into His word an...
