Tip #45 on being a youth pastors wife..

so I was right..I wasn't going to be very good at updating but I have come to learn that it will be a random whenever i learn a lesson/good point kinda post type thing..

so tip #45:
Know now that you will sometimes spend evenings alone while the hubby gets to go to movies, cool parties and awesome other events to take time to be with the youth.

for example..

tonight I am in class till 10p and I get a text at 9:51p asking if Joel could go to the movies with a youth to see a movie that I have been wanting to see for quiet sometime..Joel being the man that he is takes time to ask me but he knows im going to say yes to the oppurtunity so he is already on the way with him to the movie..so cute!

but as I sit here all by myself I think to myself how truly blessed I am to have a husband that will take time out of his time off..his sleep..his relaxiation time to go out and be with a youth just to gain a better relationship with him..

so now i have realized that I need to quit school..quit my job and become Joels assistant so that I can hang out with our kids..outside of church during their school hours..the games that I have to miss and the awesome parties that im always invited to but can never make it..so the question is..do I quit or work around hahaha

On another note... I have gotten so much done tonight while in class such as making my business card..advertisment ideas..phamplet to pass out..and even some editing!

So as Joel is out at the movies..I get to sit here all by myself..eat ice cream..work on things and watch...DESPICABLE ME!!! ahahahahahahahhahahaha

I know what you're thinkin.... WHAAAAAAAAt...be jealous..

Love you all and hope that you are allowing God to use you in big ways!

Tip #15 for being a youth pastors wife

Well it's official.. Along with being a wife I have now become a mom.... Wow let me just sit here and let that soak in..it hasn't yet but I know that it will! I am a mom...someone that will claim me has his support and care giver until he is on his own.. a mom...   Arie Malachi Guinen   Born April 15, 2013 @ 11:45 pm!   7lbs, 5oz 20 inches long!!   This little boy has stolen my heart. He came into this world after 17 1/2 hours of the labor of love :) I was doing great and going through  the labor part of it when contractions had started, after my water had broke and after 12 long hours I gave in a took some pain medicine. Pain medicine that I will tell you I will never take again in my life. They need to change the name to " this will not help your pain at all but make you feel crazy and not remember a lot of what's going on in the room around you" medicine. As the medicine wore off, the nurses came in to tell me that I had stopped...

Tip #33 on being a youth pastors wife...

The biggest lie.. In my devotion time today, I was watching a video and the speaker had mentioned a verse from the Bible that really hit home for me.. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Revelation 3:1b He asked the question in his message..   What are you in love with right now.. in a different way..   What is the biggest lie in your life right now.. We see the word LOVE sometimes and think how can being in LOVE with something be so wrong because LOVE is so good but when you really think about it when you are in LOVE with something that is not of Christ it is not good.. When he asked what is the biggest lie in your life right now..many things came to my mind. One thing that really stood out to me was the idea of the biggest lie. He said it in a way that meant what were you hiding in your life that you want no one to know about or that you want revealed even to yourself. That's not a bad question but the way...

Tip #345 of being a youth pastors wife!

You will get your heart broken! Working in this high school everyday my heart breaks for these students. It's funny once your heart goes towards youth every time you see youth you tend to cling to them! Walking these halls and seeing their faces.. Their relationships.. Their desperate call for attention and their attitudes it kills me because I know they could have so much more! Being in high school isn't easy and I understand that but don't they know there is so much more! Everyday I go out of our classroom and join up with another classroom that one of my students goes to and I sit here and just watch these students.. I watch and see myself in these students and think about the things I did in high school and how I learned from it so much but wish I could just tell them there is so much more.. I hear their conversations and it makes me want to leave the room because I cant even think about the stuff their doing.. I see the way they act and I see the way they dot car...
